Texas holdem is taking over the planet, but believe it or not there are several different poker games you may playwith.
– Stud Games (for example 7 poker online card stud)
– Draw Games (such as 5 card draw)
– Shared Hand Games (for example Texas Holdem)
There are also some other vague games that do not fit within these types, a few of the more popular which can be high/low pig, bid poker and bowels. In almost all types of poker game the hand rankings are exactly the same, having a very few minor exceptions which have grown to be less or more”home-made” rules.
Here are short descriptions of some poker games that are distinct:
Played by 3 – players. Each is dealt five cards and there is a round of betting based on the handson. After the gambling players are now able to put as many as about three cards in trade for new ones. (There is 1 exception where a new player can swap four cards when he proves the fifth to be an ace). There exists a further round of betting and the best hand wins. Draw poker has been the normal means to play with but it’s of course been overtaken by texas hold em.
Players are dealt two cards face down and one face up and there’s a round of betting. Cards 4, 4 and six are dealt faceup with gambling on each round. The final card is dealt face down and there’s another round of betting before the showdown. 7 Card Stud Poker is a popular game and is probably second at the moment to texas hold em.
Caribbean Poker
This is a poker game played in a casino between the gamer and the dealer. Each has five cards and the player needs to determine whether his card may be worth betting on after seeing the dealer’s first card. In case the player has a much better hand than the dealer he’s paid out in a fixed odds system predicated upon the strength of the hand. The fixed odds are evens to get a pair or higher card into 100-1 for a royal flush.
Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow is a fairly sophisticated casino game played between the trader and up to seven players. It’s played with a joker which counts as an ace or any card needed to perform a straight or flush. There are two variations in hand ranks compared to traditional poker rankings, the maximum hand is five Experts and the right A2345 is ranked moment to AKQJT. The dealer and players are dealt seven cards each they divide into two hands of five and two. The five card hand has to be much better than the two card hand.
If the dealer wins both hands he wins.
In case the player wins the hands he wins.
If each player wins one hand there’s a”push” so no money changes handson.
If any palm is tied the dealer wins it, therefore:
Dealer/Tie – dealer wins.
Player/Tie – push.
Tie/Tie – trader wins.
Texas Holdem
By far the hottest poker game in the world to day, probably because it is simple to master but extremely tricky to master.
